Have you encountered God before? He loves us immensely, beyond anything we can imagine! However, many times we have not realized that until He reveals Himself to us. When that happens it is like love at first sight, so intimately tangible and powerful that we are no longer the same! When we look back on our life we realize He was there all along the way. This time, we want to hold on to Him! This time, we want to put all our trust in Him! Never again do we want to run away and bear all the hurt and the burdens ourselves. God not only draws us close and restores us but He also promises that all who believe in Jesus Christ are united with Him in His love forever and ever. What a blessing!
This song, “UNITED FOREVER,” can be viewed from several perspectives: Imagine a young child with an undamaged heart, looking up at his or her parents, completely enveloped in their love and care. Imagine a new bride who truly loves and trusts her husband and looks forward to a life-long relationship built on trust.
Better yet, imagine someone who hears that God loves him or her unconditionally (despite his or her flaws and past mistakes), receives the truth concerning His forgiveness, and immediately feels enveloped in God’s love and care!
God is love! He is the source of every form of love through which we connect with other people. Knowing His love at the heart level is therefore the most profound revelation anyone can receive. It affects not only how we treat ourselves but how we treat others.
Often we view God's promises at an intellectual level, but God promises that if we seek Him with all our heart we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). Being guided by God is essential if we truly want to understand our significance, purpose, and destiny (Psalm 139). People who truly believe Him are filled with a peace that passes all understanding, a joy that abides despite the challenges faced in this increasingly dark and turbulent world, and the hope of eternal life in the presence of God.
